Review: Benefit POREfessional

I know it's been a little while since I posted anything, I'm so sorry for being MIA. Past few days have been hectic, and I've been super busy. I had my gala on Friday, and stayed the night at my friend's place. And... I had an interview for an internship last Friday!

I'm happy to announce that I got my first ever internship, and it's at a beauty related company, yay! I'm not sure if I am allowed to say anything about it, yet. As I didn't sign the contract yet, and don't know what their regulations are. It's not a huge company, but I know I will definitely like it, as I like everything related to beauty. And I'm sure it'll be a great experience for later, as I hope to continue working in the beauty or fashion industry.

Oops, rambling on about miscellaneous things again, moving on to the main topic of today's post: Benefit's POREfessional. If you don't know what POREfessional is, it's basically Benefit's "newest" primer. It's not that new, I think it's actually on the market for a year now. Anyways.

What it is: A PRO balm (their words) that minimizes the appearance of pores.
What it does: It quickly minimizes the appearance of pores. Apply this silky, light weighted balm to achieve translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smoother skin.
What you need to know: It's oil-free!
What I think...

This seriously is my staple primer for the areas where I have enlarged pores, which is basically my nose and the areas around it. I love it loads. In the picture below you can see it's a nude/skintone-ish color, but it blends in perfectly, and makes the skin looks smoother.

Strangely, I also feel that my skin does feel smoother after applying this. Haven't had any breakouts after using this product, and I have been using this for a good 7 months already. It's still my first tube, and I don't even need a chickpea-size amount - I'm still not even over half the tube!

I'm not really sure what it does for oil-control, and whether it makes my make up stay on longer. I use a setting spray and the Laura Mercier primer on other areas, I have to admit that my face doesn't get shiny as fast when I use these 3 in combination. It also depends on the type of foundation/tinted moisturizer I'm using that day.

All in all, I'm very happy that I discovered this product, and have made great use of it. I would definitely recommend you getting this if you're looking for a primer that is oil-free and that minimizes the appearance of your pores. If you're looking for a primer that keeps your make up on place for the day, I'm not sure if this is the primer for you. Maybe a setting spray would be a better option?

Let me know what you think of the product, and what kind of posts you would like to see/read. I have some blog post ideas, but am always open to more topics to write about! :-)
