7 Things I've Been Loving (July 2012)

As we are coming near to the and of the month, and I haven't done a monthly favorites before, I thought why not? As I know myself very well, and already have a list that seems never-ending, I'm limiting myself to 7 things (5 was too less and the post would be too long with 10, so 7 it was:-). This way I can ensure that everything is really, really worth sharing and recommending to you guys. I'm dying to share some products with you guys as I've really been enjoying these!

So off we go!

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Solution - €45
As you might have known, I have suffered from acne before and thank goodness my skin has improved loads over the years. I don't have many breakouts anymore, just the occasional one, but was left with both cheeks with hyper pigmentation. After reading loads of good reviews, I went to the Kiehl's store to get a sample of the product and I cannot praise this enough. It has seriously helped my hyper pigmentation spots to fade away so much. Have been using this for over a month now, and I still am using it from the sample - I got the deluxe size of the sample btw, little goes a long way indeed.

Gamila Secret Original Cleansing Bar in Original - €23
I'm not a soap person, actually I loathe all kinds of soap because it makes my skin so dry, while I have combination skin. However, since I've been working for truly yours, I gave this one another shot because my co-worker has been raving about this soap - or cleansing bar - since I started. Honestly, I don't regret it at all. I have been using it for the last 2 weeks every morning and evening after my makeup remover and my skin looks brighter and clearer. I didn't change my routine much, but only added this cleansing bar and the next product in the list...

Origins Super Spot Remover - yay or nay?

As you might have read in my collective haul post (here), I've bought the Origins Super Spot Remover. It is basically what the name already says a blemish treatment gel. Now I've used it for a while, and I'm ready to share my thoughts on the product.

When I got this I was very excited to try it out. As a girl that had suffered from acne starting as a young girl, I've tried and tested a lot of spot removers. Did they all work? No, they didn't. As this one is raved about online and offline (many awards in magazines), I felt that I had to try this.

So let's read what Origins's gem product is claiming to do for us...

"Red PMS pimple? Bad joke breakout? Heal, fight and fade it fast. Just dab on a dot and feel blemish-busting Salicylic Acid instantly help speed healing while anti-spot technology helps visibly correct post pimple darkening. Skin-calming Caffeine and Red Algae help visibly relieve irritating redness. And to help keep skin looking spotless, super exfoliators eliminate excess oils and pore-clogging debris."

NOTD #1: Essie Fear & Desire

For some odd reason I've alway loved reading and looking at NOTD's (which stands for nail of the day if you hadn't figured that out yet). So I thought, why not do one myself, and have decided to do a weekly NOTD post!:-)

Today I'm wearing Essie's Fear & Desire. It's a polish from their limited edition summer collection. When I was in Hamburg I looked in all stores for this color, but it was sold out. Also in the drugstores in Amsterdam (where I work) all polishes were sold out already. A few days ago I went to my local drugstore in the town I live - not worth mentioning because I had to pick up toothpaste and some other boring stuff. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they had a €2 off deal on all Essie polishes. Ha!

I think the advantages of living in a town is that most people don't really care for trends, limited editions, and just think it's not worth splurging for a nail polish? Well, thank god they think like that because I was able to pick up 2 limited edition polishes and I absolutely love them both. One of 'em is of course Fear & Desire, the other is Bikini So Teeny. I've been wearing these two non-stop! Fear & Desire on my hands, and Bikini So Teeny on my toes:-)

I really love the applicator brush of these polishes. As you can see it's kinda broader than the regular polish brushes, so it's easy to apply the polish on the nails. They are quite opaque as well, 2 coats did the job for me. And the color is just gorgeous. It's a bright, not neon, orange. Not really red-orange-ish, but more cold toned I'd say? I'm so bad at describing colors ha ha. I have the polish on for a few days already, no chipping, and I just had a cheapish top coat from Catrice on!

What nail polish have you been wearing lately?

OOPS. I'd forgotten about that!

Hello lovelies,

Just a quick word.

I was looking through my settings and then realized that I forgot to disable the extra step you have to take to post a comment. And all this while I thought it was disabled, silly me! Sorry guys, I immediately disabled it and hope leaving comments will be easier and more pleasant from now on:-)

I know how horrible it is to post comments, and then having to read those silly CAPCHA codes. Well, now you don't have to anymore - at least at my blog ha-ha!

Have a wonderful day dolls!

Primark A/W 2012

I do know weather has been kicking up in most Western European countries, including the Netherlands. You won't hear me complain, I love the sun, and am just bummed that I'm sitting in the office from 10 - 5. Anyways.

I've seen a few blogs, and sites lately with the new A/W 2012 collection of Prim›ark, and I have to say I pretty like the collection! Most of the time just can't find the right item there for me. I absolutely love their accessories, shoes and jewelry, but that's it. Their clothing just doesn't fit me somehow, or it's just not my style.

Well not this time, because I absolutely adore their A/W 2012 collection! It's great and totally my style! I'm a knit person, and I just love to cuddle with my sweaters. Don't get me wrong, I do love summer clothing as well, but I just find fall/winter clothing is much more comfy. It's so soft and makes me feel warm and cozy. Below I have a small selection of the products I think look nice, or I just like the picture itself ha-ha I'm silly I know! :-)

Yep you saw it right. They also have a jacket with the leather sleeves, yep your eyes are not kidding you, it's a replica version of the hyped up ZARA variant! I know I said that I want to get the leather ZARA jacket with studs, but this is just a deal I cannot miss!

I also am eyeing some knits, dresses and blouses, aren't they just amazing? It's perfectly in-between cute and rock-ish. Have read that the knits are a great deal, and that the quality isn't too bad.:-) Honestly, I'm liking their collection more, and more. This might even be one of my favorite A/W collections of this year!

What do you think of Primark's A/W 2012 collection?

My Studded Obsession

As you all might have read a few posts before (here), I'm currently in love with everything that has studs on it. I didn't use to like things with studs, on the contrary - I avoided them like mosquitos!

Don't ask me why I'm fancying them now. I don't know honestly. I think my style is changing from the safe, casual bit girly kinda style to a bit more rough, still casual and a bit more daring, if that makes sense.

Last Sunday and Monday I worked at the largest fashion event in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for my internship, and I saw a girl with the most amazing loafers on. Yep, you guessed it right, with studs. Not just little dots of gold. No, they were real spikes. I had to get them, or at least know where she got them from.

After a day of nodding and saying hi, I decided to talk to her. She was absolutely a doll. And told me she got the shoes from nelly.com. She also mentioned that they were super comfy! Well she didn't had to say a word more and I was already browsing the website on my iPhone for those shoes. You know how it goes:-)

Unfortunately they are quite pricey for loafers, they are retailing for €69,95. I have been looking for stylish, comfy shoes for absolutely ages and haven't found 'em yet. That's how I justified the price tag ha-ha! Thank goodness they had free shipping, that would really put me off. Will receive them in a few days, can't wait to show them to you guys!:-)

Do you like studs, and what is your current obsession?

Random Favorite of the Moment #2

A bit late with this weeks random favorite, all due to my holiday, it totally messed up my schedule, not that I had one ha ha!:-)

But as you might have read in my haul post (here), I have bought the Caudalie eau de Beauté when I was in Hamburg.

I did expect something totally different from the spray, but I can say I'm really liking it at the moment. Have been using it at least twice a day since I got it! I spray it on after cleansing, before moisturizing in the day and evening. If I remember to bring it with me on the go I spray it after I spend a few hours with a made up face. It really feels refreshing as it has a menthol scent to it and I think the make up looks a bit better as well. I accidentally squeezed out a pimple the other day - gross I know. When I sprayed this on afterwards, the spot vanished in the morning. There was no redness, no aggravated, infected skin like it would be normally.

All in all, I really like this product and will definitely purchase the big bottle of 100ml when I'm in Paris. I'd recommend getting this for all of you, even just for refreshing your face after a day of work/school/hanging out. It's a gem girls, it's a bloody gem.

What things have you been loving at the moment?

Hamburg Haul

As I mentioned in my ramble post before (here), I managed my expenses quite well honestly! :-) I was so tempted when I saw a Jo Malone store at Neuer Wall, but managed to walk past and only drool in front of the shop window. In the huge department store Alsterhaus I almost got crazy and almost bought a load of Laura Mercier products (that I honestly don't really need). I, luckily, managed to refrain myself from it and I saved myself about €100 from that counter. I'm pretty proud of what I did, even though I say so myself ha-ha!

I was super happy and excited to see that there was a MUJI in Hamburg. I really didn't know that prior to my trip. As many UK bloggers/youtubers have been raving about this brand I had to check it out! I managed to only get a few things. The other stores I grabbed a few things from were Alsterhaus, Rossmann and some local stores. Without further ado, my Hamburg haul:-)

As I just said, I didn't grab any Laura Mercier goodies at Alsterhaus, but I did get a Marc Jacobs Lola rollerbal perfume. You all know my obsession for Marc Jacobs goodies! I couldn't be more happy with this, and got two sample perfume with it - my other favorites! Actually, I love all MJ fragrances ha-ha!

At MUJI I almost wanted to grab all the mesh bags and a load of plastic stands for cosmetics/stationary. But then again I only got these two, as my parents didn't appreciate the store as much as I did - unbelievable. So I only grabbed these two in a hurry and left. The prices were actually okay, I thought it'd be way more expensive!

I got a lovely catalogue with my purchase, and have marked all the things I'd love to get. And guess what, there are like 4 MUJI stores in Paris. Ha! I'll definitely decorate my future room with some of these goodies. The quality is seriously way better than I expected, super sturdy! When I got home I immediately threw all my brushes in the holder. I'll play around with the organization a bit more, but I'm pretty stoked with the result!

I got the most bits from the German drugstore, Rossmann. Not because they have exclusive stuff like Boots and Superdrug in the UK. No, but because it's way cheaper than in the Netherlands. Seriously, the cheapest dry shampoo in the Netherlands is 5 bucks, yep overpriced stuff.

So I got 2 Labello lip balms (Fruity Shine in Cherry, smells amazing, very pigmented, my fave tinted lip balms), make up sponges, Neutrogena Visibly Clear scrub, 2 hand creams, 2 dry shampoos and a few Rimmel nail polishes for a deal I couldn't resist. In my excitement I forgot to include my other purchase in the picture: a Rimmel Kate Spring Lipstick in 20 - yep the color I wanted, but couldn't get due to it's popularity. I managed to snap the last one in store! I've been using it everyday since I got it, and it has a safe place in my make up bag. Expect a review soon!:-)

Last but not least, two miscellaneous purchases. I got the hyped up Fiji water of a gazillion years ago, I mean the hype, not the content. I didn't taste any difference with other bottled water, nor felt better. I do love the square bottle though! And I got the much raved about Caudalie eau de Beauté (aka Beauty Elixir). I thought it'd smell different, more peachy and flowery like, but I like it nonetheless.

I also bought a camera case and an SD card, but they are very boring and just nothing special to share on picture IMO.

What have you bought lately or what are you planning to buy?

Fashion Craving: Studded Leather Jacket

Don't you have that feeling that you feel that you need a particular item? Well that is what I have right now after reading Anna's post about this gem from ZARA (here). So badly that I have the urge to blog about this while I'm in the train on my way home ha-ha!

But be honest and look at the jacket. Isn't she gorgeous? I absolutely love it! Coincidentally I'm in need of a new leather jacket as mine almost has holes at the sleeves - oops. And the gold studding detail just makes me desire it even more. The only down point: it's €219...

It looks gorgeous online and in all the images, but haven't been in a ZARA shop yet. So I'll have to see (and feel!) for myself whether it's worth the hard earned pennies or not.

What do you think of this jacket, do you think it's worth the splurge?

Little Update + My Trip To Hamburg

Hi guys, today a little ramble/update post and some things about my city trip. Sorry for the lack of posts this week! I was planning to write some in Hamburg, but I forgot that the wifi was ridiculously pricey. But now I'm back in Holland, ready to blog haha!:-)

Hamburg is an amazing city for shopping, I think anyone that went there will agree with me. But as a holiday destination... meh. I didn't hate it, but I just expected more from the city itself, as many German friends raved about the city. And I read loads and loads of good stuff about Hamburg online. Driving there for 4,5 hours for only shopping, was not really worth it. Expected more architecture, and thought the city would be more beautiful. Loved the Rathaus (city hall) though, picture above. And I had a lovely time with my parents!

I did buy some things, and I guess I'll be posting a haul at the end of the week. I think I did manage to limit my expenses pretty well, as I'll be moving to Paris (eeeek!) soon I want to get many French (pharmacy) goodies.:-) I know I don't really have French readers, but if you happen to know anyone that is renting out his/her apartment, let me know!

And this was it for today, will continue with my internship. Busy busy prepping for a fashion event we'll be participating in this Sunday and Monday. If you happen to be in Amsterdam and going to Modefabriek, come and say hi at the Trash & Treasure section!:-)

PS. Did I tell you I intern at truly yours? I'm sure my Dutch readers know the company. It's like the Birchbox of the Netherlands. It's a super cool, authentic beauty box company based in Amsterdam. If you live in the Netherlands and didn't subscribe yet, you should definitely check them out (here). No affiliation with the company whatsoever - they don't even know I have a blog, ha!

Do you have any plans for the summer?

Review: MAC Mineralize Blush Supernova + Swatches

Today, blogging this live from the Apple Store in Hamburg, Germany! Well, I wrote the main body at home already, but am doing the editing and uploading here. The wifi at the hotel is way to expensive, €20 a day?! Anyways, it's my last day here and I'll drive back home in the evening. Will do an update and haul post soon!:-)

As you all might know, I was pretty excited for the new MAC collection (here). I still like Heavenly Creature, and I actually ordered 2 blushes (Supernova, Ring of Saturn) and 1 Mineralize Skin Finish (Starwonder). The lipsticks and lip glasses were not really appealing to me when I saw them. I was planning to get their scrub as well, but as I got the Origins Charcoal Mask, I thought I'd better save up the money for something else ha ha!

If you read my recent haul post (here), you'd see that I only included one blusher. That is because I returned the other two products. Not because I didn't like them, no in fact, they look gorgeous and I'd recommend both of them as there is not too much shimmer in them, so you won't look like a greasy, shiny disco ball in daylight. But, I just felt I wouldn't get much wear out of those two products.

I don't have anything against darker or bronzy colors, at all, but I normally don't wear those colors. I do use bronzer, Ioving NARS Laguna at the moment, but I don't use it that much that I feel like having those two extra, as I want to shop in Hamburg as well (and I spent a shit load of money on cosmetics/skincare this month already).

Finally moving on to the review of Supernova. I decided to keep this blusher as I really like how it looks in the pan, ridiculous reason, I know. But don't you agree? That neon pink, with a swirl of gold in it, it just looks super cool. The color is gorgeous as well!

Collective Haul

As I will be going to Hamburg for a short city trip on Monday, I thought I'd do a collective haul for you. As Hamburg is a great city for shopping - I have heard - I'm planning to do loads of shopping:-) It's not a huge haul, but I thought it'd be nice to have one now, and one after Hamburg.

I got these things these two weeks, I kinda let myself go a bit I guess? Especially with online purchases... Not all purchases are interesting or exciting, but thought I'd show it to you anyways. Without further ado, my haul for you down below, separated in sections of skin/body care, haircare, make up and fashion bits.

As for skin/body care I got the Philosophy Melon Daiquiri Showergel, it smell divine! From Origins I got the much raved about Spot Treatment and their Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. That little pink pot is Clinique's All About Eyes eye cream. I almost finished my Kiehl's Avocado Treatment, and much more prefer Clinique's eye cream as it's a gel and I feel it helps with de-puffing.

That white pump bottle is the cult Xen-Tan Dark Lotion self tanner, with the mitt in the background. It's my first time trying any of Xen-Tan's products, so I'm super excited!

As for make up bits, I got the Anastasia Brow Gel in Espresso. Two Kiehl's Lip Balm's one in mango and one without a fruity scent. That fluorescent pink blusher is from MAC's Heavenly Creature Collection, it's Supernova. Am planning to do a review including swatches soon!

For hair I usually don't spend that much money, as it's kind of the neglected part of my routine haha. In the picture you see the Batiste Dry Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray. I tried the spray a few times, it smells lovely, but doesn't make my hair shinier than it already is.

As for the miscellaneous bits, I got two rings from Ebay. I absolutely love them loads and have worn them almost daily. Those pink flats are from Topshop, I got them in sale for just 15 quid. Had to pay for shipping though, but they are ridiculously comfy and I think they are super cute!

So this was my haul over the past two weeks. Hope you enjoyed this little ramble post haha. I'm planning to review some of the products, such as the MAC blush, Origins skin care bits and maybe the Xen-Tan Dark Lotion. Let me know what you'd like to read next!:-)

Have you been shopping lately, and what did you get?

Random Favorite of the Moment #1

I am sitting in the office, all by myself, super lonely, working diligently. At a certain moment I was just looking at my beauty bits I stacked on my desk. Well, actually just a few things, only those that I like at the moment, and really need. So I thought of sharing it with you guys!:-) I thought it would be more interesting, and maybe a bit more fun to add random items as well.

The product I'm writing about today is Marc Jacobs Daisy in miniature version. Yes, another Marc Jacobs post. Didn't I say that I love that brand? I have a full-size bottle of Daisy at home, and brought this one with me to the office. I looooove this scent! It is fresh, youthful and just perks me up after a long time behind the laptop.

The downside of this perfume is that the scent does not linger on the skin that long, but it gives me more reason to spritz it on me. Did I already tell you that I love this scent?:-)

Do you have any random bits you've been liking at the moment,
and would you like to see more of these kind of posts?

Current Obsession: MARC by Marc Jacobs

Today I went to one of Holland's most famous and luxurious department stores: de Bijenkorf - for the international readers, it literally means beehive. Silly, I know. As my internship is in Amsterdam, I went to the one there, it is the oldest, most beautiful and most luxurious store of the entire country. They have products of premier and contemporary designers like Mulberry, Hèrmes, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Lanvin, Chloé, Michael Kors, and... the highlight of today's post Marc Jacobs.

I adore this man! His creative input in Louis Vuitton just makes the company even greater and fantastic! His own brand is amazing as well, and Marc Jacobs's perfumes are one of my favorites! If I'm honest I don't think their products are that expensive. Of course compared to high-street products they are expensive, but the quality and design make up for the extra pennies paid - in my opinion. The reason why I like his sub collection MARC by Marc Jacobs is because it's fun. It is creative, less serious, but yet still sophisticated and not trashy.

When I was at the store, I bumped into this gorgeous laptop bag. It's not very special, quite simple, but I love their neoprene cases and this laptop bag is just what I was looking for! I'll be leaving for my study abroad at the end of August and I've been told that they don't use lecture books and advice notebooks and laptops in class. Hence I need a cool and lightweight but protective laptop bag.

I have a 13" Macbook Pro, which is about 2 kg, so I don't want to add any unnecessary weight. This one fits just in my criteria. The only down point... it's €115. Would it be silly to say that I'm considering getting it...?
Another item I've got my eye on is their Logo Disc Stud Earring. I saw it today on a girl that visit our office today, and it looked fab on her. I liked them so much that they are really on the top of my never ending wish list. The white ones look so nice, and even though I don't wear earrings everyday, I think that's because I don't own these haha!;-)

What do you think of any of these products and do you own any Marc Jacobs products?

If I'd visit the States...

... I'd totally spend half a day at Sephora! Actually... make that an entire day!

This post is totally inspired by Anna's (from VDM) American Sephora haul. We do have a Sephora in the Netherlands, but the only "exclusive brand" they got are Urban Decay and Make Up Forever, not so special... You can imagine that I got so jealous of all the products she got and I immediately went online to look for them. The good thing was that the products were not that expensive for what they were, but the bad thing was that it was US only... I always get so jealous of you US gals, as you can seriously buy all cosmetics brands and products!:-(

Particular brands I really got interested in after watching her haul were Tarte, Josie Maran, and Fresh. Obviously I've heard of them before, but I just really have a need of getting them ha-ha!

For fun I went to the American Sephora website and just clicked on things and added them to my basket. Honestly, I can't believe how cheap and great value those (gift) sets are in the US. Seriously, the value sets in Holland are rubbish and not much different from buying the products individually.

You won't believe how much the total was of my basket. I only added products I really would buy in the US and the products/brands that are not available in Europe. In my basket were a few Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes, Josie Maran kits, two Fresh kits with their lip treatment, several Sephora gel-polishes, NARS cheek palette, two benefit value sets, a Laura Mercier kit, a Sephora Favorites rollerball collection and a bliss kit.

I did cut off a lot of products, and personally I don't think I picked out too many products, right? Sadly I still ended in a whopping $540.50. I know, totally crazy. But if I'm honest, I'd totally get all of the products if I lived in the States or if I went there for holiday or whatever. Obviously not all at once, as I don't have that much money. But a few at a time. Hmm... any US readers that are willing to post a few things to the Netherlands, just kidding. No actually, if there are any volunteers... haha!;-)

What American exclusive brands are on your wish list?

Face Mapping: The Truth Behind Acne

I have been holding back this blogpost for weeks, because it's something that is really important to me. I have struggled with really, really bad acne a few years back. And I'm so glad my skin has been improving so well! It's not perfect at all, but still I'm very happy the way my skin looks right now. I do have some enlarged pores, blackheads, hyper pigmentation and the occasional spot. My skin has improved due to my visits at the dermatologist, and also because I started to really pay attention to what I was eating, drinking - everything on the inside.

A while ago, I read a blogpost about face mapping (link below), and it took me back to a few years ago when I was feeling miserable because of my skin. Face mapping interested me a lot - it still does, and it's also related to the Chinese medicinal methods. Face mapping helped me quite a lot, as it made me realize what was wrong inside, and what needed change.

Looking back on how it motivated me and helped me clear up my skin, I thought I'd do a blogpost about it. I want to get this out first. Don't expect to get rid of all your blemishes immediately, this is definitely a way to clear up your skin, but it takes time and effort. But it's totally worth it, believe me!

I will apologize upfront, this is a long blogpost, as I was trying to put the best and detailed information in this post for you guys!:-)

Finally moving on to face mapping. Face mapping is basically separating areas of your face into sections, like a map. It is a type of analysis that explains what and how certain areas of your face are connected to other parts of your body. With face mapping, you can "decode" what's going on within your body. It's super informative as you can tackle that individual part of your body, in my opinion. Below is an overview of the basic areas, and how to combat/heal those areas.

Nail Talk: Models Own Neon Collection

Today I will be talking about Models Own's Neon Collection. I will be blunt here: I absolutely love the colors! Super bright and neon, seriously, they are so neon that the camera can't even capture its hotness! I like all colors except Tangerine Queen (second from left). I feel that it's a super strange and not flattering color at. all. It looks lovely in the bottle, but that's it.

The consistency of these polishes are quite thick, but very easy to apply. Also it's very opaque, and the color is very bright, almost hurting the eye bright. The finish is rather matte, which I think is lovely. The only down point of these polishes (for me) is that you get bubbles quite fast. So you have to be careful to wait until the first coat is semi-dry. I only had this with the pink polish. The other polishes apply like a gem!

My favorites are the bright neon pink, and the fluoro orange color (pictures below)! I'm actually wearing the two today! And the color in the picture does not do this polish any justice at all! In real it's really bright, I don't think there are any polishes that are as bright as Models Own's.

I've tried Nails. Inc's Neon Collection, lovely colors, but not impressed. These babies are way more pigmented, long lasting and most importantly, they are the real deal when talking about neon!

Left: Bubble Gum Right: Fluro' Orange

So have you tried Models Own nail polishes before, and which color is your fave?

To Buy or Not To Buy...

This time blogging live from the city centre! I'm with my mum at ZARA and browsing at the children and men section.

I really can't believe that their children section is ridiculously amazing?! I picked up a lovely blazer/cardigan type of thing from their children section - ssht, don't tell!

The reason why I'm writing this blog, is because I was wondering what you guys think of this hat.

My mum said I looked like an old grandpa - I know, she's sometimes so lovely NOT. But I was wondering what YOU GUYS think about it. Just be honest, I can handle it!:-)

Honestly, I never wear hats, sometimes a huge flaphat in summers, but thought this one looked pretty fun. And then again, I want a hat when I'm off to my city trip in Hamburg! I think with a huge white flap hat I'd be a bit out of place.

P.S. I know there is a proper term for this kind of hat, but I honestly forgot what it's called. :-')
P.P.S. Please don't mind my face in this shot, the sales women at ZARA was looking at me like I was craaaazy, so had to take one really quick ha ha.

Hat - ZARA €19,95

Do you think this hat suits me, and should I get it or not?

New blog layout, bloglovin'

Hi guys, just a super tiny blog update today, no seriously. I promise that it won't be a long ramble blog!

As you might have noticed, the past two weeks I have been changing the layout of my blog quite a bit. I started with a change of header, and color palette.

This week I've been mainly working on the menu bar, and I think I quite like it where it's now. Not sure if you find it annoying while browsing, but let me know! I also changed the header of my blog. I feel it's a bit more mature in a way, and I just really like the contrast of the two typefaces. I'm happy to announce that I'm content with the look of the blog as of now!

I also wanted to let you know that you can also follow me on bloglovin' as of yesterday! I would really appreciate it if you'd like to follow me there as well. :-)

What do you think of the new look, and do you prefer this look or the old look more?

MAC Heavenly Creature Collection

How exciting, an all new MAC collection! This collection is inspired by the outer space, and it shows in the design and look of it's products. The colors are amazing, and the Mineralize Skin Finishes, blushes and eyeshadows just look to die for! Did I mention that the lipsticks are gorgeous as well? Its shades are consisting from pink, peachy and nude tones - great for summers!

It consists of 9 Mineralize Eye Shadows, 4 Mineralize Skinfinish, 4 Mineralize Blushes, 5 Lipsticks, 5 Cremesheen Glass and a False Lashes Mascara. As for skincare, they launch the Mineralize Charged Water Cleanser, Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel and Moisture Eye Cream.

Something I'm really looking forward to try from their skincare is the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, which gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin for a radiant look, which will the only limited edition product from their skincare products.

I hope you'll be as sold as I was when I saw the entire collection (below). Enjoy!
