Favourite Nail Polishes -
Super Gorgeous September #8

I'm a big nail polish lover, I think I can even say that I'm obsessed. Back in the day (with that I mean a few years ago) I used to change up my nail polish every other day, if not every day. Just because I could and it just bored me very fast. With that in mind, you can imagine that my nail polish collection is huge. Which is an understatement. Because it was impossible for me to capture everything, I gave it a little twist and am showing you a selection of my favourite polishes.

You can clearly see I'm an Essie girl. Their polishes just manage to pull me in each and every time. I love most colours and my all-time favourites that always are occasion appropriate are Mint Candy Apple, Bikini So Teeny, Fear & Desire, Topless & Barefoot. As for O.P.I.… Yes, I do really like the quality of their polishes, their names crack me up and you get a tiny bit more than Essie polishes, but the colours… It's a bit a hit or a miss. The big hit, in all perspectives is Every Month is Octoberfest. How brilliant!

My fave neon polish is Models Own Hedonist. Though I'm not quite sold on the consistency of all Models Own polishes, this colour just makes it all okay. The prettiest orange-red neon polish I've ever met in my life.

The gems in my collection are definitely my Deborah Lippmann polishes. I love Happy Birthday and Across The Universe the most, I guess because they were my first. Priced ridiculously high, they are worth every penny. I got most of them during my "I don't care to pay a fortune for nail polish"-phase, which sometimes makes me shiver. But the quality, packaging and ingredients that are not in there makes it all worth it. Their range with small glitters is one of favourites, as besides it being beautiful, they stay on your nails forever. Meaning you won't have to be afraid it'll fall off randomly. On the other hand, it's rather a pain to remove. You can't have it all, can you…

What are the favourites in your nail polish collection?

  1. These nail varnishes are lovely. I have a crazy collection too - need to do a little spring cleaning in that area! Barry M colours are my fav but they do chip quite easily.

    1. I've done a detox already, though admitting to be a hoarder, I still have a huge collection. Love the consistency and opaqueness of the polishes, but they tend to chip at the end of the day for me. x

  3. You have literally all of the Essie polishes that I want right now! My own polish collection is probably quite a bit smaller than your's, but I would have to say that my favorite polish at the moment is my little bottle of Estee Lauder's Vixen. It's a dark sparkly green that turns almost black in some lights. Quite an acquired taste, but I love it! I love the look of that Model's Own polish, and will definitely pick some up when I get to London. xxxx
