What I've Been Loving (September 2013)

September has been a very hectic month for me. Uni commenced, resulting in busy days, added stress and lots of books to read. Also, the formula to sleep longer and prep myself for Uni is in the works - everything for a few minutes longer under the sheets.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray has come to the rescue quite a few times when my hair was either unbalanced poofy or awkwardly flat. A few spritzes along the roots and it gives an immediate oomph I need to balance it all out. Make up wise I've been using BECCA Matte Skin Shine Proof Foundation in Nude, which is a bit higher in coverage compared to what I usually use. My break out on my chin keeps reappearing and doesn't seem to go away. One layer of the foundation mutes the redness immediately and with an extra dab of concealer where needed it stays put all day long - leaving the cake-face behind.

As a matte, higher coverage foundation can make ones face look a bit flat, using the right blush can really perk one up. My pick has been Chanel Cream Blush in Affinité. The bright pop of pink is perfect to fake that healthy glow and to balance the look out. I wouldn't be able to work this all without the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. This is seriously the best brush I've used ever and does a great deal in multi-tasking and buffing everything in for a flawless finish. And lastly, I've been burning my Diptyque Figuier Candle non-stop to get me through my Uni course work. The fig scents just really help uplifting and make me less depressed when looking at my literature list and super stuffed agenda. Sadly, I've burned the last drop this week... Would it be naughty of me that I'm already looking for a new one?

What have you been loving this month?

    1. I'm thinking of getting the Oribe or SASCHAJUAN products now. Always on the hunt for alternatives, even if they're damn good products... Yes, I have a disease called shopaholic-ism ha x

  2. The Becca foundation sounds great! I also have a breakout on my chin at the moment, so anything that covers it is right up my street.

    1. It really is a gem, although it doesn't cover everything like a mask, it does a good job neutralising the troubled areas x

  6. I love my buffing brush from Real Techniques! It's the only thing I use now with my BB Cream. I'm on the hunt for a texturizing spray since my hair is so fine and flat. Might have to give this one a try!
