With falling leaves, rainy days and lots of wind Autumn is in full bloom here. Skin wise, the condition of my skin has improved compared to how it was when I wrote my post. However, I'm not even close to how my skin looked before. To get me through the month, I've been using great products for those 'transition months' meaning: more coverage, more moisture and heavier scents.
For brows I've been testing out the Pixi Natural Brow Duo in Medium throughout October and have been pleasantly surprised by it. The Brow Duo has a stiff waxy bit for filling up your brows and a tinted gel to seal everything. It's a cool/ashy brown tone, which matches my natural brow colour perfectly. Continuing with makeup, I've still been using BECCA Matte Skin Shine Proof Foundation every single day when wearing makeup. I just don't have anything bad to say about it texture, coverage and staying power wise - I've written a full review on the foundation earlier this month.
Somehow my hands are always dry and in autumn/winter it gets even worse. I've discovered Conscious Skincare Soothing Hand Cream at the bottom of my stash and it's amazing. When you open the tub, it looks like a yucky olive green, thick balm. However, when it comes in touch with your hand, it slowly turns into a very nourishing oil. It's natural and organic, and packed with gorgeous oils. I love using this as a nail treatment as well, after I've taken off my nail polish and rub it on my cuticles and nail bed. It sinks in immediately, not sticky and smells really soothing. When my skin (mainly hands) needed some extra care, Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream came to the rescue. It's great for rashes caused by eczema (I tend to get eczema in the colder months), irritated skin, dry cuticles and more.
To make October still a bit fun and change things up a bit, I've been wearing Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret on an almost daily basis. I have this fragrance for a few years now and actually have completely forgotten about it (October seems the month to rediscover somethings ha ha). I really enjoy wearing this during the day time, it's sweet but not too overpowering with its lemon, green tea, jasmine notes and combining this with blond wood and patchouli it's completely balanced out in a very sensual and feminine fragrance.
What have you been loving this month?
