Summer. I'm not quite sure how the weather is in the other parts of the world, but it is bloomin' hot here in Europe. Just like everyone, my hair dries a bit funky and feels very coarse. So when I got wind of BioSilk's newest Summer Therapy range, that promised hair like silk, I had to try it.

I'm one of those girls that keep talking about going to the gym to tone up or get fit, but never end up getting there. Why? That's because I don't want to spend 60-80 quid on a monthly gym membership, when I could use that same money to buy, well… beauty products?! So, yes: my Summer body prep is completely cost-effective and exercise-free while still being able to tone up (though you'd see faster, better results when you pair this with exercise). I'm talking about dry skin brushing.

It's my first month in the Netherlands and truthfully, the move hasn't sunk in yet. Of course I miss London and everyone I've met there, but I've been so preoccupied with unpacking, organising everything and packing (again) for my holidays, I haven't had the time to think about it. Especially with this humidity, I could careless about anything honestly. Unless it was as cool as an ice cube, hence I had far too many no-make up-days.

... the holiday edition. I'm rather surprised that I haven't put one up yet before, as I love snooping around in others' and am guilty of having WIMH bookmarked. So I thought to continue in the holiday spirit to show what I'll be lugging around with me when boarding my flight. The bag I'll be carrying is Prada ---. I absolutely adore their bags as not only are they of impeccable quality, they are classic, simple and feminine at the same time. What I love most about this bag is that even though you can stuff it full, you'll still look chic when strutting around.

Flying. I love going on holidays, especially when going to a country I haven't been to or even better, to another continent. Another passport stamp, (when lucky) different currency, duty-free shopping and of course the destination are my motivators. What's bugging me are the flights, that is long-haul flights. Yikes. I'll be off to Asia end of this week and I'm super excited about everything, except the 12 hour plane ride and to cheer myself up, I created a 'Lisa Eldrige-inspired' mini in-flight pamper kit to keep myself busy and perked up during the flight.

Face masks. My twice-a-week guilty pleasures. REN being one of my most preferred brands I'll try to be un-biased, but they have done it again. After a long day of work (or shopping...) I love to have a mini pamper session and start with exfoliating my skin, to create a better 'canvas' for the other products to be absorbed properly. Now not too long ago, I thought that exfoliating meant scrubs and peels only, but I'm glad to have tasted the waters and branched out to exfoliating toners and masks. Today in the spotlight: Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. Phew, that's a whole mouth full.

Oils. Pick any random beauty blog, website or magazine and you'll be sure to find one - be it body, hair or face oils. As I'm more into skincare, I'd like to stress the latter. Being born with combination to oily skin made me avoid face oils like the plague. More shine and more grease? Non, merci. Little did I know that skincare is a bit like math, and just like minus + minus is plus, makes oil + oil into balanced skin. And that's just how far my math goes, so lets head on to the edit.

Summer has really made its appearance now and I couldn't be more pleased with the weather right now. There's sun, blue skies and a slight breeze. The perfect weather to do anything honestly. This week's wish list is a selection of bits where I've used my trip to Asia next week as an inspiration and ended up with a selection of body and skincare products.

There is a saying that goes something like 'happiness can come in small packages' or maybe I'm merging some into one. What I'm meaning to point out is that bigger doesn't always mean better, just like now. When I initially saw SAMPAR Prodigal Pen*, I didn't think much of it. Yes, it looks cute (it's baby pink!) and it's very compact, but whether it would work, I still had to figure that out. After being blown away by its effects on my skin the morning after, my mantra has become "smaller is better" or something in that sense…

Sun? What's that? Though I loved living in London, the lack of sun was getting to me. I need my Vitamin D, you know. Besides the vitamin intake, I do love a good tan. I'm not talking Jersey Shore-tan, but a more sophisticated, bronze goddess look. Having tried my fair share of fake tans, I thought I'd explore the more wallet-friendly options. So when I saw Rimmel Instant Tan on offer, it ended up in my shopping basket. Did I say it was Water Resistant? Intrigued, aren't you.

Mud masks. We've all been there and tried that. GLAMGLOW YouthMud Mask, however, is a different kind of mud mask from what I've tried before. Having many celebrity and blogger fans and being dubbed as the Hollywood treatment favorite, I had to try this myself. First thoughts: meh. Final verdict: bloody amazing. So let me elaborate on that...

We all know that most beauty blogs cover the glamorous part of the beauty world, i.e. make up, creams, masks, treatments, beautiful products to talk about. However, we all cannot live without the less interesting and glamorous beauty bits. I'm very guilty of not mentioning those and after Anna started to open up on the unspoken beauty bits, I thought I might as well jump ship and share mine with you.

June has made me realize how much I actually love and appreciate living in London. Though I've been living in (small) towns ever since I've been little, I'm a big city girl at heart. I love the energy, the accessibility of basically everything, being among the crowds (hate weekends on Oxford Street though) and just love that there are so many things to do - anywhere, any time. This will be my last favorites reporting from London - huge sob - and this will be my last week in the UK. Major squeal, what happened to the time? Without further rambling, the bits I've been loving lately...
