Over the past few months I've been slowly incorporating natural and organic products in my skin and body care routine, and it wouldn't be fair for my locks to not be able to enjoy the same perks. Though I realised that finding natural products for the hair was a task I strongly underestimated, and left me helpless. So when I was given the opportunity to try Naturalmente - an all natural and organic hair care brand, I accepted that with open arms.
Naturalmente is Italian of origin and it's main ingredients are derived from certified organic botanicals. All products are petro-chemical (petroleum) free, contain plant based formulations and are completely nasties free, meaning they don't contain SLS, parabens, synthetic fragrances and all those other skin harming product - you know the drill. I've tried the Rosemary & Lavender Shampoo, which was perfect for my oily, yet sensitive scalp. Marketed as "purifying and detoxing", it does just that. Unlike other detoxifying shampoo's I've tried, which are very stripping and drying - I'm looking at you Bumble - Naturalmente has combined the best of both worlds: detoxing and purifying, while the essential oils of the product nourish the hair and scalp. Surprisingly, my hair did not feel heavy or greasy at all, which is what I expected because it contains essential oils. Other ingredients are Rosemary, which stimulates circulation, balances an oily scalp and aids to detox, Lavender purifies the scalp, Eucalyptus is anti-bacterial and anti-dandruff, where Sandalwood regulates sebum.
I follow up with their Yoghurt & Millet Conditioner, which, I have to say, smells ah-mai-zing. I'm the worst when it comes to describing scents, but if I really had to, I'd say it reminds me of those sweet dim sum buns - which is a good thing. My scalp tends to get oily really easily, so I'm not too fussed about conditioner most of the time, but Naturalmente hit me right on the spot. Besides getting me overly excited because of the scent, it makes my locks feel incredibly soft and smooth without weighing my hair down, which is most probably due to the Jojoba Oil which nourishes the scalp while adding shine, Mint to calm the scalp, Eucalyptus, and Lemon to stimulate hair growth. I only use this on my ends and comb it through (either with a Tangle Teezer or my fingers) and let it sit for around 2-3 minutes before I rinse it off.
The best part of this brand is that for a no-fuss, natural and organic haircare brand, it's incredibly affordable from prices starting from £2.60 (travel size 50ml) to £9 (full size 250ml). Definitely a brand to look out for and worth to try for yourself.
