Cult Beauty Buyin'

Cult Beauty has been a bookmarked page in my browser for many years and without realising I have never bought anything from the site before. Their selection of (cult) beauty products is no joke and I wish I could buy everything. During their recent promotion, I decided to go with the mindset "go big, or go home" and a few days later a box arrived, filled with my kind of heaven.

My skin has cleared up so much and I've been able to wear lighter bases as of recently, without scar(r)ing the neighbourhood kids. I tend to get oily throughout the day, so I opted for the much raved about Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, which contains SPF 15 and is oil-free. I've only tried this a few times and I'm blown away. As I'm almost running out of my trusty Collection 2000 concealer, I thought it would be a good opportunity to look for an alternative. RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-Up Concealer is based on coconut oil and completely natural. I have yet to try this, but reviews and raves from fellow bloggers have made me very excited and I'm expecting greatest things from this little pot.

Ying Yu Rollers have been on my mind for literally years now, but somehow I just never bit the bullet. When they announced that Ying Yu would come out with a new roller made by Rose Quartz I had to have that one. Besides the epic product description, it was in pastel pink. Exactly. I have yet to try this, as mine arrived slightly damaged and I'm just waiting for my replacement to arrive. I'll keep you posted and in the meantime I'll educate myself on rolling techniques.

Last, but certainly not least is a heck of a bottle filled with Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts. Insomnia and I have been in an on-and-off relationship for the past few years and lately I've been having difficulties falling asleep. I hope that with the combination of detoxing salts and bomb of aromas it will change for the better. The plan is to test it together with my mum because — bless her — she's like a walking insomniac, always has been. And if it can cure her, it's good stuff most definitely.

What are you lusting after from Cult Beauty?

  2. I loved this post--which is no surprise considering I love your blog AND basically stalk Cult Beauty. I think I'll put away some money for a spree in the coming months. I really hope you enjoy the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint, mostly because I don't want to let you down. And I've been keen on trying the RMS Un-Cover Up, too, so I'll keep keen for your review. (:

  3. You are so sweet —you've no idea how happy your comment made me! I'm really liking the Matte Moisture Tint and it's exceeded my expectations. It's so good and I've been wearing it for the past 3 days (aka ever since I got it). I'll trial RMS "Un" Cover-Up tomorrow, watch this space...

  4. Just read through pretty much your entire blog back to the start! Love it!!

I still haven't bought anything from cult beauty, their shipping charges always put me off, but I do love it for a good browse and wish-list note taking.

  6. Amazing buys! The RMS beauty concealer is gorgeous, I think you'll love it too. As for the Jade roller, I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I bought The Body Shop version and so far I'm not really liking it much. It kinda hurts my face, lol. x

  8. Thanks so much, I'm so glad you like it. Though, some posts way back are rather cringe worthy haha. I know what you mean regarding the shipping fee, that's why I waited for their free shipping promotion, which made me buy much more than I actually should have. Do follow them on twitter (@cultbeauty) as they announce their promotions/limited free shipping days on there.

  10. Ugh, what not to love... I'm so pleased with all my purchases that I can't stop raving about them. Ouch, I was intending to buy The Body Shop roller (I guess we're both talking about the one Caroline [Hirons] recommended) but it wasn't stocked anymore. I'll keep you posted on the roller!

  11. Yeah... I always forget how much I've spent throughout the month and only get to realise it during the last week. And then I get a mini panic attack.

  12. It's such a great website, and if I had the money I'd definitely buy one of each – I'm such a greedy person. I'll definitely keep you posted on the face roller!

  14. The YY roller is my 'alternative' for TBS one. Albeit a very expensive alternative.
