I've said it once, and I'll say it again I'm reading so much more, ever since I spend a part of my budget on hardcovers and paperbacks. I'm a reader, what can I say... For a change I thought it'd be fun to share some books I'm about to start reading and giving you an idea of what kind of books I like to read.
The Wicked Girls by Alex Marwood
"If Tana French and Gillian Flynn stayed up all night telling stories at an abandoned amusement park, this is awfully close to what they might come up with." I think you know my taste in books well enough now that that were the only words needed to pull me in. I love my truly wrecked main characters. Two little girls meet each other for the first time and somehow they both end up being convicted for murder. 25 years later their paths cross - will they be able to keep their wicked secret hidden?
Into The Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes
This book had gotten on my list ever since Kate had mentioned in her fave books list. The story takes you on a roller coaster ride with Cathy, a girl with serious OCD and post-traumatic stress. Throughout the story entries from the past and present are shown, revealing the cause of her present self. And I can tell you... It's proper screwed and amazing.
Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson
A woman who can only remember parts of her life until her early 20s. Each night when she falls asleep her memories from the day before are gone. She realises she's 47, married, had a major accident and that she's secretly seeing a therapist for recovery. He reminds her she's got a notebook, which she writes in every day, so she can remember that day's activities. Throughout her diary she catches up everyday who her 'normal self' is and slowly but surely she is discovering how big of a lie she's been living in and the shocking truth of what possibly could've caused her accident.
