Sephora Lusting

Is it a #BeautyBloggerProblem when I say that Sephora always hooks me right on spot. The spot where my credit card is, I mean. Ever since they (finally!) changed their shipping policy and started shipping to Europe, I've been browsing the site whenever I had a minute to add things to my basket. Did I go to far? Maybe. Oh, well... I'm a beauty blogger after all. ;-)

The first brand I searched for was Josie Maran, as her cosmetics are impossible to find in Europe and I'm dying to try their new Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil in Endless Guava, a vibrant poppy pink. A lip and cheek stain that applies like an oil? Now that's what I call exciting. While browsing, I stumbled upon their Argan Lip & Cheek Color Stick Set with 3 blushes and 1 highlighter. All of Josie's products are 100% organic based on 100% pure Argan Oil, so they're very nourishing and good for the skin. I watched a [YouTube] video where I saw the sticks in action and that literally wow-ed me and made me press the "Add To Basket" button in an instant.

The next brand I instantly looked for was Bite, and this one I fully blame on Fleur. In one of her recent blog posts she swatched the Bite Deconstructed Rose Lipgloss Library with 12 very pigmented lip glosses, ranging from soft pinks to dark reds and plums. All reviews are glowing and c'mon just look at it! Going back on the cheek track, Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush has a sturdy place in my basket. I'd be rude not to, right? Surprisingly not the much raved shade Tipsy, but Dazzled has really caught my eye and is described as a soft rose colour. The perfect addition to my stash for a healthy flush of colour. And last, but not least: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat. A vibrant poppy colour, which is supposed to leave a soft-focus and lighting effect on the cheeks. I have no idea what that's supposed to look like, but I reckon it's good stuff.

I might've gone a bit far with the amount of lip and cheek products, but I've selected each one of these products after careful consideration. I would've loved to pick some bits up from Fresh, Nude Skincare and their rollerball fragrances, however these cannot be shipped outside of the States. Major sob. A little request to all my US/Canadian readers: please do let me know which products/shades I will regret not buying and those that I must try —for your or my sake.

  1. Hey Wengyee! I am coveting the Hourglass blush too! absolutely no way I can get hold of it right now unless I make a trip abroad which is so sad! BTW, I have both Tipsy and dazzled and I wouldn't advise you to get Dazzled! Should get Exposed instead as its a more rosy color than Dazzled.. Dazzled in fact has big chunky shimmer and the color is little weird! I'd definitely recommend checking it out in person before splurging! :-)

  2. Next time I go to Sephora, I'll take a look at this list and send you some photos of swatches. Would that help? Sounds like beauty porn, no? (: x

  4. I recently picked up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush. It is absolutely gorgeous! The Bite Beauty Lipgloss Library is on my wishlist as well but it's sold out in all the Sephoras where I live for an obvious reason. I picked up their lipstick in Fig last weekend though and it is a fantastic shade for everyday wear. I highly recommend checking it out. The Tarte Blushes are also great! I have Exposed but I am also looking to purchase Tipsy, Natural Beauty, and Captivating. I think Captivating may be a limited edition shade as it's part of their summer collection but I can't be sure. xx

  7. Ah, I know how you feel. Thanks so much for the heads up, Dazzled sounds horrendous to be honest. I tend to get shiny throughout the day, so big chunky shimmer is a big no for me.

  10. Okay, now you're making me anxious. I must get that Bite Library and check out their lipstick offerings. Sadly Tarte doesn't have any counter in Europe so I will have to survive by looking at swatches online – please do tweet me when you've purchased either of the shades you mentioned. I'd love to see aka) I'm super nosy.

  11. I'd definitely pick that one up! Lipsticks are my forte, but I think the Bite glosses are similar to the YSL Glossy Stains, which are one of my all-time fave lip products. And yeah, I must do a big clean out too. I've got a huge drawer filled to the brim and there are even a few ones that are untouched!

  14. How are the finishes/wear of the lipsticks? The Library has been sold out for a while now so I'm just waiting for it to come back in stock (and adding more things to my basket whilst waiting haha).
