Trilogy Antioxidant+ Oil

Combination and dehydrated skin gals, look this way. I treated myself to the Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ on a spendy day — #FeelingSpendy — and this was an absolute godsend.

Although wearing face oils isn't ideal in warmer months, this number is actually light enough for my combination-oily skin. It don't make my skin feel heavy or greasy for the slightest and I haven't seen a dry patch ever since I started slapping this on religiously.

I use this in the morning and evening, after my spot treatment and serum(s) have sunken in — which is about 1 or 2 minutes — and warm the oil between my finger tips, and then massage and pat the product onto my face. This is definitely not for those mornings when you're in a hurry and want to slap on your base directly after moisturising, as it does need an hour or two (depending on how much you apply) to sink in. However, you can apply it first and then continue with the rest of your routine (do your hair, dress up, eat your brekkie) and then use a tissue to gently pat the excess oil from your face and continue with make up.

Not only is my skin less dry and are there no patches to be seen, I've noticed that my skin is smoother and clearer than ever. And that only after 3 weeks of using it day and night. Although this could also be due to other bits I've changed in my skincare routine lately. That aside, this is definitely a keeper.

  1. Hey Weng! I had a choice between this and the Pai version of the rosehip oil and went for Pai. That is pretty good too in my opinion, and I have been using it at nights about two or three days a week.. and thinks have been in check! Its actually very very light and sinks in much faster than most oils that I have tried! Have you tried that before?

  2. Ah, I am so glad you like this too! I used to have quite oily skin and I swore it was this that helped calm everything down. I used three drops every night and in a couple weeks blotting powder was a thing of the past. When I finished it (which, by the way took about a year) I decided to try the Pai one, but I think this one is still my favourite!

  3. Hi Divya, I actually own the Pai Rosehip Oil as well. Although I like it (and have been using it for a bit longer), I think I might prefer this Trilogy option. It's nourishing but not heavy on the skin - perfect for my combination/dehydrated/oily skin, esp. since it's getting warmer. Glad you're enjoying the Pai one though!

  4. Ah, that sounds amazing! I have been using it for 3 weeks now and actually, I think my skin is less oily. Definitely still shiny throughout the day, but I'll continue using this for sure.
