Sun, humidity and lots of (big) announcements happened in July. The first two are self-explanatory and the latter? Well, apparently I will spend the next 12 months in England for a postgrad programme. I was planning to go back sooner or later, but I hadn't expected it to be so soon. I'm super excited for the next chapter in my life and what I just said doesn't relate to these favourites at all. It a random mix between a book, a gadget, a diary and some beauty bits chucked in the mix.
The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of The Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson must be the book with the world's longest title. A definite tongue twister and such a great read. The storyline is definitely one-of-a-kind and I've been reading it almost every night before bed. Before I start reading the book, I write a few lines in my Q&A A Day Diary, which to write in each day, for the course of 5 years. I'm not a diary person at all, but as each day it asks you a question for which I only have to write an answer, it actually is a real fun thing to keep up with. Not sure if will actually manage to write in it for consecutively 5 years, but theres no harm in trying.
I'm not one to be attracted to fries that much, but I instantly fell in love when I saw the design of the the French Fries iPhone case after the Jeremy Scott's last runway show. Personally I love Moschino's phone cases, and this one isn't an exception. Besides it being super fun (and rather attention grabbing), it's very sturdy and protects my phone just perfectly.
There were only a few beauty bits this month, which have been my staples throughout the month. Boscia Blotting Papers are simply one of a kind. I picked these up recently from Sephora on a whim, but they're the only ones that actually blot away excess oil without removing make up. As it's summer, I always load up on the sunscreen and Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector SPF45 has been my fave lately. I'll do a SPF edit soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more of my faves. From time to time I love a bold lip, but on a regular basis, I'm a big advocate on tinted lip balms, as they don't require a mirror to reapply and don't leave awkward stains. My good friend Hanna gifted Maybelline Baby Lips in x to me, which I've been using everyday so far. It gives a slight hint of cherry pink and leaves my lips soft and moist. The perfect lip balm to wear in the office or at uni, when you don't have the time to check your lips and reapply every now and then.
