We've Got A French Pharmacy Problem...

Some might think I have a French pharmacy problem – I on the other hand, like to think of myself as an advocate for a bon vivant. My parents were in a spontaneous mood and decided on a rainy day to drive to Lille as a surprise day-trip. A surprise it definitely was, but as a semi French pharmacy connaisseur, and simply a person who hadn't spent all her fortune in Lisbon, I felt I had to splurge here and there. And it happened. Badly.

First stop was at Euralille, which is supposedly the city's biggest shopping centre, and the world's biggest letdown. Thankfully I managed to calm my rage with a rather hefty purchase at their pharmacy and ended up with La Roche-Posay Anthélios XL SPF50+, Bioderma Photoderm Fluide SPF30, Bioderma Sébium Sérum Purifying Concentrate and La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO +. On my way out [of the mall], I took a little detour in Kiko and picked up a nail file and some cuticle pushers —not that exciting.

A few pharmacies later, I picked up a duo pack of NUXE Rêve du Miel Chapsticks, Lovea Argan Body Oil and quite some Caudalie bits to satisfy my hunger. Or one might say it kinda got a bit out of hand... Knowing my love for Caudalie's Divine Oil (more on that in this post), I splurged on their Overnight Detox Oil, Overnight Recovery Oil and Divine Legs – an instant tan that contains the same good stuff like their Oil. I think I might be a bit addicted to the smell of it and was *this* close to pick up their recently launched 'Divine' Fragrance. Thank goodness that it happened to be out of stock, ha!

  3. Wow I am so jealous of your haul! :D I love French Pharamacy stuff (who doesn't) and anywhere in Europe my first stop usually is one or the other drugstore! I was actually suprised to find very large drugstores everywhere in Barcelona and they stocked every product imaginable from all the famous French brands! :-) Let us know how you get along with the Bioderma spf fluid! :-)

  6. The Caudalie overnight oils sound magnifique. You know I'm all over anything French, so, if one of them pops up on my blog, order me to send it back *wink*. x

  7. I've never been to a Spanish drugstore, but French pharmacy brands are so much easier to get hold off in southern Europe. So unfair. Thank goodness for online shopping and city trips haha! I'll try to keep you posted on the products.

  9. If you love their pot version, you'll need the chapsticks. It's basically the same, but then travel-friendly and hygienic. Have been trying the Recovery Oil for quite some nights now, and I'm really liking it so far.

  10. Oh it is beautiful. I've only tried the Recovery Oil so far, but it's really light but nourishing, which I need when it's hot and humid. I'll be keeping an eye out for your next post then, ha!

  11. It looked like it was still in construction, there weren't that many stores and the stores (and the items they sold) that were there weren't too impressive.

  12. Bioderma is definitely among my fave French pharmacy brands, such a shame you can't get a hold of it in SF. Escentual carries most of the products and do worldwide shipping. I think they've got a 1/3 off on French pharmacy brands at the moment ;-).
