Oh, you know me and my big spender habits. Over the past few weeks I've been pretty frugal (for my standard) as I knew I'd be moving house, had to live as a poor student again and I knew I'd be going all in when I touched down in England. Which I did. Not even sure if I could say it was per accident.
First thing I picked up when I went into town was Indeed Labs Hydraluron, a serum packed with "the purest form of Hyaluronic Acid". Supposedly great for dehydrated skin and longterm use will improve the condition of your skin. Úna Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil has been a personal fave of me and my mum, and being a UK exclusive, I had to get my paws on this. They improved the packaging, making it an even better product. A pump next time, Úna. Thank you.
As I've mentioned in my recent favourites, my skin has been going through a rough patch (both figuratively and literally speaking), so I've been on the hunt for moisture adding products. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is a hydrating mist that hydrates the skin, improves the skin's moisture levels and balance. Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream is packed with antioxidants, which protect the skin from free radicals and help to address signs of dehydration. As expected, Jurlique doesn't disappoint in the scent department, and I'm hoping this will sort out my dehydrated skin ASAP.
Although Radical Skincare is mainly targeting the older and mature skin, their Hydrating Cleanser caught my eye. A no nonsense brand, based on 'radical' technology is something up my street. It's packed with antioxidants and their trademarked Trylacel technology, which makes it possible for the product to be so potent and effective. As for the last skincare bit, I picked up REN Clarifying Toner, as I ran out of my exfoliating toner. I've heard mixed reviews of this, so I'll definitely give this a good go before I'll write up my thoughts.
I forgot to bring a kabuki brush with me and when I saw Boots had a 3 for 2 on make up brushes, I kinda went a bit cray and picked up EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush, Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and Real Techniques Powder Brush. Whilst I was in Boots, I noticed Soap & Glory Archery, which I picked up in the hope it could be an Anastasia Brow Wiz dupe. Being such a lover of the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks, I got one in the shade Nudist, which is a great pinky nude. A rather luxe product I've been trying out is the NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation in shades Deauville (winter) and Fiji (all other seasons). Perfect shade match, buildable coverage and great lasting powder.
For those who have been following me for a while now, know that I struggle a lot with haircare. I tend to get greasy scalp, dry ends and due to that my hair sometimes lacks volume. I'm hoping Bumble and Bumble Bb. Prêt a Powder will shake things up a bit and fingers crossed their Bb. Quenching Masque will give me healthy, hydrated and luscious locks.
N.B. All products mentioned have been accumulated over the past 3 weeks I've been in England and not in one go. If only...
