Gettin' Thirsty

The problem of having a scalp that's prone to getting greasy very easily, it that my ends are in a rather shabby condition. Dry, brittle and well... neglected. Yes, PHYTO Phytokératine has helped it heaps and gotten it into a rather good place, but it still hadn't gotten my hair back into the condition it was in a few years ago: bouncy, glossy and voluminous locks. Over the past months I've tried the Bumble and Bumble Quenching Masque and it's fully embedded into my haircare routine.

In general I try to shy away from hair masks, as they are often just too hydrating and nourishing for my scalp, resulting in my hair to look very greasy and flat —even when just applied onto the ends. The Bumble and Bumble Quenching Masque contains a supersaturated formula that restores the hair's natural moisture barrier. Whilst using it, I've noticed that my hair has become smoother, softer and healthier —already after my first use. It doesn't grease up my hair, nor does it weigh my hair down and it's actually the first hair mask that I've kept in my routine.

Generally I just use this instead of my conditioner and work this in my ends, let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off. I love the fact that you can actually just apply this on wet hair and don't have to wrap it into foil to trap the heat. I mean... you know me: I do have a weakness for products that work, and that require zero effort. Simples.

  1. I have very dry ends in my hair! I need to swim in conditioner everytime I wash or it'll just get super dry and look like straw! One of the Kerastase masques has helped a lot but I am always looking for the next best thing! Want to try this one now!

  2. i;ve started using a mask as a conditioner too. since i didn't want to try the whole line i just have the shampoo and mask from the l'oreal repairing line. nice to know this doesn't grease up/weigh hair down. i've had a few products do that and you always end up looking so gross by the end of the day, like you hadn't washed your hair in days.

  3. Hmm, I think this will work real well on your hair though. It'll just need 5-10 minutes and you'll feel the difference immediately. I think the condition of my ends has definitely improved since I started using this!

  4. Ugh, I know what you mean, which is why I haven't used hair masks in forever. Was very hesitant to try this, but got pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely recommend to give this a go when you run out of your current mask and fancy something different.
