Buying Christmas gifts for others always makes my heart flutter. Maybe it's because I love good gift sets or maybe it's the fact that I just like spending money. All that aside, I've tried my best to source the best Christmas gifts ever, when on a budget. Ranging from skincare to books to miscellaneous bits that will suit anyone's cuppa.
You've got to take my word for it that this year's offerings are amazing. So amazing that I wasn't able to capture all of them, other wise this post would be never ending. I'm a big hand cream lover – quelle surprise – and I strongly believe that hand creams can do no wrong as a little Christmas gift. Caudalie Hand Cream Trio contains the scents Pink Grapefruit, Blackcurrant Leaf and Grapevine Honey. Just like all other Caudalie products, it is infused with their trademark grape water. If you're looking for an all-natural option, balance Me. Super Protecting Hand Cream Set is your pick. It feels light on the skin but is so nourishing and perfect for severely dry and cracked hands. To stay on the hand moisturise topic, Caudalie Winter Duo contains their Lip Conditioner and Hand & Nail Cream, which is great for those who like the typical Caudalie scent, as opposed to the fruit ones. The lip balm actually contains 99.5% naturally-derived ingredients and really soothing on the lips.
Skincare wise, Antipodes Moisture Boost Minis is the best when you want to suss out the brand without splurging on the full size products. I've been using the Divine Face Oil for over 2 months now and I can say it's been a lifesaver with in cold weather. The Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream sinks into the skin almost instantly though also packed with a good punch of hydration. For those who want to gift something Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, look no further than the Nourish Argan Beauty Collection, which contains their hero products from the Argan line. I've used their Argan Skin Rescue in the past and it's the product that got me hooked on Argan oil to begin with —nourishing, omega-rich and radiance boosting is all you need to get through the grim winter cold.
A gift guide wouldn't be complete without mentioning the amazing Essie nail polish sets. There are the full size duo's —I'm loving Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the mini trio's. Boots currently has an offer on Essie polishes, where you just buy any two products and the mini trio set is a complimentary gift. Something to give and something to keep (or just keep it all).
If you thought that was the end, ha, think again. You know me and my love for books, especially anything that's fun or has got nice visuals. Vogue Natural Health and Beauty is a vintage copy that Content Beauty started selling and I love it. Packed with cool tips and besides that it's just a gorgeous coffee table piece. The Art of Eating Well by Hemsley and Hemsley is a recipe book packed with healthy recipes and the first few pages explain why eating healthy is important and what you should and can do as a beginner. In case you're wondering, the images are killer. As I loved Bossypants by Tina Fey, I just felt I had to include Amy Poehler's Yes Please. I have yet to read this myself, but from reviews and things I've heard, it's amazing. Although I like to call myself a self-acknowledged Parisienne (I lived there for 5 odd months after all), I couldn't resist to add How To Be Parisian to the list. Usually I despise books like these, but this seems different. With an insider look on how Parisians act, live and go around life, it's just much cooler than any other 'how to be [blank]' book. For those who love baking but don't have the time to bake entire cakes, Mug Cakes is the perfect leeway. Don't underestimate the size of it, it's actually packed with 40 varieties of mug cakes you can microwave. Double score.
