What I've Been Loving (June 2015)

June was a bit of a weird month for me. My classes officially ended and whereas I don't know if I can say these will be the last lectures I'll attend in life (I'll report back in a year of... five?), I'm definitely done for now. My focus has been on my dissertation and blog at the moment. Not having to go to Uni every day makes it really easy for me to plan my day and write blog posts when I'm tired of reading academic journals all day. So far I'm doing great on both ends and by the time this post goes live, I'll be busy packing as I'm moving house tomorrow. Nothing too exciting, as it'll be much smaller than I'm living right now, but I'll survive. ;-)

Etude House Knows What's Up

As of recently, I'm lucky enough to call myself a proud member of Etude House's Pink Bird clan, which is their global ‘club’ of selected Korean beauty loving members. A big perk is being introduced to some of their most popular and best-selling items. I'm pretty sure I've already voiced my interest and bias regarding Korean beauty products and Etude makes it so much easier to fall in love with their products. They're affordable, products do what they promise and the packaging is just too cute. I guess I don't need much convincing, eh?

Christopher Kane x NARS Blush in Silent Nude

I doubt there'll be a day NARS will not excite me with their collections, especially when it's a collaboration or limited edition range. Together with fashion designer Christopher Kane, NARS has launched a capsule collection consisting of a selection of lip products, eyeshadows, a multiple and two blushes. Whereas I'd love to try all of them, I settled with the Blush in Silent Nude, as it's the type of shade I don't own and have always wanted to. So hey presto, why not?

The Deal About Double-Lettered Cushions

Just as we thought the Koreans couldn't get any more gimmicky with beauty product inventions, they shut us up by shoving an army of cushiony products right in our face. I'll be honest, I'm very a tad biased when it comes to anything Korean, as I'm just obsessed with their culture and country in general. Beauty-wise, they're just on top of their game. Whereas I wasn't quite sure about the BB/CC cushions out there in the market, in a moment of weakness I bit the bullet and a few weeks later Missha's M Magic Cushion Moisture landed on my doorstep.

Blame It On The Sun

I don't know about you guys, but when the sun's out, I just feel like I have to get out and be outside. So about two (sunny) Sundays ago, I decided it was too good of a day to be reading journals all day in the house and ventured into town. A lil’ fact you may or may not know about me: each time I step out of the door, I spend money. Be it a lot or a little, it happens. And with the deadlines behind me, the warm sun rays brightening the city and the inner-urge to just buy something, it happened. Big time.

The Postgrad Life So Far & I May Need Your Help!

During the past few months so much has happened, and I just wanted to take this moment to say hello to my new and old followers. Hello! I'm currently still living the [West] Yorkshire life (did you realise we've got the same initials? Oh the weird things I pay attention to...) and have decided to stay here over the summer to write my dissertation. But before I get there, I thought it'd be nice to write a short post on deciding to follow a Masters and how I've been liking it so far. And my next chapter you ask? I'll come to that in a sec, this is going to be a long one guys.

The Sun's Here (For Now)

O.M.G. I can't remember the last time when it was nice and sunny out for longer than 2 hours in England. It probably doesn't help that I'm up north, but there are plans in the works to move back to London after graduation, which is soon! Anyways, going back to topic: I think summer's finally come! When I think summer; I think beach, tan and shades. As there's zero chance of me visiting a beach this summer (damn you, dissertation!), a slightly higher chance of me developing a natural tan, I've just put all my focus on finding the perfect pair of new shades. I'm not too picky, yet it is so difficult to find a pair that suits my face and doesn't look ridiculous on. Though I think Oliver Peoples may have hit the mark about just right this time.

An Amazing(y) Haul

This haul is by far the most overdue haul posted on this blog. I've been using these products for nearly a month now and I have been absolutely obsessed. All purchases obviously enabled by my dearest green beauty blogging friends, and I salute y'all for that —you know who you are! This was not an impulse decision, but after months of having inflamed and stressed skin I decided it was time for some skincare changes and finally checked out my Amazingy basket.. That and the fact that my top shelf was running rather low in comparison to my last showcase.
