My goodness, yet another haul post. Yes, even I know that I'm hitting the edge of borderline-shopaholic. Whomever came up with online shopping, I love and hate you. Anyways, I felt like I deserved to treat myself as I finished my Masters dissertation and so I did.Disclaimer: this haul is 100% enabled by Net-a-Porter's new free shipping policy. Oops.
The first piece that entered my basket of doom was the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. Yes, I know that it's not great value for money and the palette is tiny. However, I'd never buy the full-size Ambient Lighting Powders, because I'd never be able to finish it. Also, I've been wanting to try the Ambient Lighting Blushes and Ambient Lighting Bronzer as well, so this palette is just perfect for me —I've literally been using it every single day since I got it. I'd recommend this when you've not got any powders from the brand yet, because it's a great way to try out everything at the same time without really breaking the bank. Also, it looks gorgeous on my vanity. It contains the Ambient Lighting Powders in Dim Light, Iridescent Light (limited edition) and Diffused Light, the Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure and Luminous Flush, and the Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light.
I was really on a roll adding things to my basket, I couldn't get JINsoon’s Nail Polishes out of my mind. I know Eva Chen loves the brand and I love Eva Chen, so whatever floats her boat... Whilst I was tempted to get the Electric Blue shade, I settled for colours I'd wear often: Coquette (a classic red) and Nostalgia (the perfect nude —I'm gonna wear this during my M.A. graduation ceremony!). Her polishes are 5-free and I swear these stay on your tips for ever. I know I shouldn't, but I'm already contemplating which colours I should get next!
As I was full-on in the ‘being spendy’ mode, the last few bits I added to my basket were a bit of a blur. I got the LASHFOOD Brow Food Tinted Brow Enhancing Gel, which I've not quite made up my mind about yet. The shade Dark Brunette is perfect for me and I like it has a fluffy and short bristle side, which makes it easy to coat and shape the brows. However, I didn't realise it came with fibres, which I think is a bit redundant in a brow gel. Ain't nobody wants fibres hanging off their brows... Staying on the brow topic, I got Anastasia BH’s Synthetic Duo Brush in 20, as I've been loving my HD Eye & Brow Palette again, and this is perfect to fill in my brows. Something that I just threw in – because sometimes I'm just out of my mind – was De Mamiel’s Rosey Lip Balm. It's a solid lip balm that takes quite a while to melt so I'm not really a fan... I've got a soft spot for all things roses, but the scent of the balm is quite off-putting and it lingers, so sadly I've not been using this as much. I may use it as a cuticle/all-purpose balm though.
New things aside, a staple I re-purchased was ILIA’s Nobody's Baby. I absolutely adore this nude lip conditioner and it's definitely one of my all-time favourite day time colours. The perfect M.L.B.B. shade. My previous one sadly vanished from the earth and I'm guessing I lost it at Uni. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to hold onto this, so I won't have another reason to buy any more lipsticks! O.K. Before you kill me, I just wanted to say that Black Friday happened and just be ready for another KICKASS haul. And that'll be the last one... for a long while. This time, I'll actually keep my word, HA.
