Pits 'n Roses – A Natural Deodorant Tale

SCHMIDT'S ROSE + VANILLA NATURAL DEODORANT STICK REVIEW

To me, finding a good natural deodorant is like finding a good pair of jeans. It could take weeks, months... Heck, it's taken me YEARS. But when you find ‘the one’, you know it was worth the time and effort. And that to me is Schmidt’s Rose + Vanilla Natural Deodorant Stick.

Getting your skin Halloween (or just autumn) ready

REN GLYCOLACTIC RADIANCE RENEWAL MASK REVIEW

If you follow me on Snapchat, you may have seen that I've swapped the face paint for an array of face masks this year. I name it celebrating Halloween granny-style. Anyways, there's nothing worse than having dry and patchy skin. Ever since I've been introduced to chemical exfoliators, physical exfoliators haven't touched my face at all. I swipe BR’s P50 over my skin every evening, but when even that won't fix my skin, I call out the big guns. Meet REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask.

A Week In Split, Croatia - Travel Diary

SPLIT, CROATIA - TRAVEL DIARY & RECOMMENDATIONS

If you've been following me on Instagram or Snapchat, you may have noticed that I've been travelling  and was in a place that was sunnier and far warmer than London. I spent a week in Split, Croatia and had an amazing time. I'm in no way an expert in all things Split, but I thought it'd be fun to share some of the beautiful places we've visited and I'd totally recommend.

Things I've Been Loving... For The Past Few Months

I know, I know. I've been a fairly useless blogger —especially when it comes to monthly faves, which I've conveniently been skipping for the past few months. Better late than never, eh? So yes, favourites... I've been quite good and have been trying to keep my routine quite minimal – in my books – and similar.

The Shampoo-Conditioner Duo That's Saving My Hair

Let me put it out here first, I'm fussy re:hair care. I change my shampoos as often as I change my underwear (hint: daily) and I condition my hair as frequent as I go to the dentist (hint: rarely). My scalp gets very oily very quickly, which is likely due to my hormonal imbalance. Washing my hair every day and it falling flat before the sun's gone down is a mission and a nuisance, which is why I gave KEVIN.MURPHY’s PLUMPING.LINE a try. OK, and I was enticed by the colour and shape of the packaging. BUT BOY AM I GLAD I DID.

The (Green) Beauty Haul That Happened WELL Over A Month Ago

Well this one was well overdue, as it happened over a month ago —as you may have guessed from the title. In the meantime I've flown half way across the globe and back AND have another haul up my sleeve because of it. I was very close to not even write about this, but because it's featuring quite a few products that slowly have become daily staples, I figured it'd be worth a shot.

Flirting With Hair Extensions

If you were hoping to read a post that'd teach you all the tricks to set the roof on fire and where the DJ got us fallin’ in love tonight whilst you're swishing your hair (extensions?) around —I have to apologise. I don't think this is merely as entertaining as that'd be, and frankly, can someone please teach me those moves?! Case in point: I'm talking about playing with the thought of wearing hair extensions.

About That New NARS Tinted Moisturiser

I love new NARS makeup launches, as they always come out with the most amazing stuff. So when the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint finally launched in the UK, I raced to the Space NK down the road and got a sample. I'll be honest, my first impressions were bad, but somehow I ended up loving this.

A White Trainer Staple —
Jason Markk Premium Shoe Cleanser

Let me put it out there, I’m a dirt magnet. And because of that, I’ve sworn off white shoes for years. Though with the whole Normcore trend and white trainers making a comeback, I couldn’t resist. I lasted 2 whole days without making my Adidas Superstars look muddy, and then tube rush hour happened…

New In Beauty

Ever since I moved to London, I've cut down on my beauty spend, because whilst I love the city, I hate its rent. That being said, once a beauty junkie —always a beauty junkie. There's simply nothing you can do about that, eh? These are some bits that I've accumulated over the past few months. Some are new to the market, others are new to me, but have been well loved and gained a ‘cult-classic’ title already.

The Makeup Brush Cleanser That Tops All —
Japonesque Solid Brush Cleanser Review

When it comes to cleaning brushes, I had a phase where I was really eager and cleaned them on a daily basis. And when I say clean, I mean a deep cleanse. As time went by and more important (or fun!) things popped by, I kinda pushed cleaning my brushes to the curb. Aside from being borderline boring, it's just a long, messy and tedious process, no? That was until I picked up Japonesque’s Solid Brush Cleanser on a whim. #Revelation.

What I've Been Loving (January 2016)

January Beauty Favourites | 9outoften.com

January just flew by and I mean it. Last week marked my first month as a young professional and my month has been filled with lots of change, excitement, gratefulness and a shot of (healthy) stress. Time flies when you're having fun aye? Very unlike me, I've kept my skincare and makeup routine pretty much the same over the past two months, with some new additions here and there. And damn, I think this is the best my skin's looked in WEEKS.

A New Effaclar Addition

Effaclar K+ Review | 9outoften.com

I don't want to jinx myself, but I think my skin's finally heading to a good direction again, despite my Christmas/NYE indulgences. Sadly – but not strangely – I'm not born with good skin-genes, so I welcome all help in the blemish department. Whilst the La Roche-Posay Effaclar range hasn't done much for my skin in the past, Effaclar K+ on the other hand...

The A-Typical New Year's Post

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL. (I hope I didn’t start last year’s post like this too… So much for originality huh).

I’m writing this on NYE – technically it’s still NYEMorning, but I’ll roll with it. I've actually written, deleted and rewritten this post for 2 times already, but third time's a charm right? Whilst I was planning on doing my annual new year's resolutions post and get in on this whole ‘New year, new me’ shebang —I wanted to spruce things up a bit. Instead of the whole ‘New year, new me’ shebang and moaning about what I need to change in my life to become this ‘new’ person, I decided to take this time to look back and reflect. So much has happened in 2015 and whizzing through it without proper appreciation just feels wrong. So here it is: 15 happenings in 2015 that I fondly look back at. WITH GIFS! Because everything is better with gifs.
