I think I speak for many of us that the launch of the Bourjois Cream Blush might’ve been one of the most exciting beauty launches recently. Having gotten the hang of applying cream blushes now, I had to check out these babes. Launched 150 years after their signature powder blush, Bourjois have impressed me very much with this collection. All blushes are in very subtle and soft pink/coral hues – perfect for spring/summer.
Just like their original Powder Blushes, they come in little round flip top plastic pots that match the color of the blush itself. The collection consists of four shades in total 01 ‘Nude Velvet’, 02 ‘Healthy Glow’, 03 ‘Rose Tender’ and 04 ‘Sweet Cherry’. Though it was very tempting to get all four, I decided to get 02 ‘Healthy Glow’ and 04 ‘Sweet Cherry‘ as I knew I’d get a lot of use out of these colors daily.
02 is a vibrant, peach/coral-y color and gives a healthy coral flush of color to the cheeks that is very subtle, yet very buidable. 04 is rose/plum and gives an instant illusion of a fresh and awake complexion – like you were born with it. This definitely is my favorite of the bunch and the color pay off is amazing. Both shades are very easy to apply (I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush), very blendable. The finish is just perfect, not too creamy nor too powdery (and doesn’t cling on dry patches). It’s quite pleasant to wear as it’s so light you won’t even feel it and it stays put throughout the day (at least for a good 6 hours on my combo/oily skin).
Will you be picking up (a few) Bourjois Cream Blushes?
