What I’ve Been Loving (July 2013)

It’s my first month in the Netherlands and truthfully, the move hasn’t sunk in yet. Of course I miss London and everyone I’ve met there, but I’ve been so preoccupied with unpacking, organising everything and packing (again) for my holidays, I haven’t had the time to think about it. Especially with this humidity, I could careless about anything honestly. Unless it was as cool as an ice cube, hence I had far too many no-make up-days.

No one likes the feeling (or the look) of make up melting down your face, so I tried to keep it minimal with just a dab of Chanel Correcteur Perfection Concealer on areas of redness, blemishes and dark circles (thank you sleepless nights). To still look rosy, healthy and well… awake, I’ve been using Bourjois Cream Blush in 04 to cheat that, which really gave me a boost while still looking natural. I really needed a bright lip to add some energy to my face (and to distract people from my dark circles) and Topshop Brighton Rock did just that.

Nail wise, I kept it bright and have been rocking ModelsOwn Hedonist, a beautiful neon red/orange, on both hands and toes. It has made the cut to be my Summer go-to polish. To relax in the evenings after a long day of being busy (and sweating tons), I’ve been slapping on Caudalie Divine Oil to nourish my skin and use it to massage my arms and legs. It’s a dry oil, so it is absorbed almost immediately, only leaving a subtle scent behind.

What are your favourites?
