Cream blushes. I have to admit, I used to be a no-cream blush-person, but ever after trying Laura Mercier Bonne Trio I’m hooked. As Chanel can do no wrong, I had to get my hands on the Cream Blushes from Chanel’s Superstition Collection this fall. A mark in my agenda a month ago, a whirl in Hong Kong Airport’s duty-free section and I’d settled (after hours of debating) with no less than one beautiful shade: Affinite.
Affinite is an intense blue-toned pink cream blush. The texture is different than any of the other cream blushes I’ve tried before. It’s described as a “powder-cream formula with sheer yet vibrant pigments for instant luminosity paired with long-wear satin finish”. It’s soft to touch, but hard enough to not ruin the entire pan. The formula is very blend able resulting in that effortless flush on the cheeks. Wearability is incredibly high because of this and it lasts up to 7 hours on my combination skin.
I was very tempted to grab Fantastic as well, in fact I actually did, but I managed to refrain myself from splurging on another one. Yes, it is a gorgeous colour (both in pan and swatched) and a fantastic product, but I just don’t see myself wearing that particular colour on a daily base – which would be a complete waste. Though I know it’d look amazing in my stash, it would be a waste of money if it was for just that sole reason.
What do you think of these blushes, would you consider buying (at least) one?
