Don’t we all love anything French or even better… Parisian? Well, I do. I’m a big advocate for everything French, be it wine, pastries, cosmetics, designers and perfume is also one of them. Where full-size bottles are too bulky and heavy, minis too small and Travalo’s are too much of a hassle, that’s where Le Soft Perfume‘s Le Petit Fou come in – a selection of Parisian chic solid balm fragrances.
Le Soft Perfumes are formulated in Grasse, the world’s fragrance capital where the finest blends are made and the Noses are born. The collection consists of 10 different scents, ranging from musky to floral to fruity to citrusy, so you’re sure to find (at least) one scent that fits your nose.
My favourites of the collection are Zazou* and Copacabana*. Where Zazou is more like a day fragrance, as it’s very zesty and fresh with its Grapefruit, Lemon, Musk and Neroli notes, whereas Copacabana tends to be more of an evening scent, as it’s a bit heavier and more sensual with notes of Violet, Jasmine and Patchouli. Besides having the cutest packaging, the balm is also paraben and alcohol-free, making it ‘safe’ to rub it onto your skin. It also contains ingredients that are nourishing to the skin, such as Shea, Mango and Tamanu butters and oils.
Don’t underestimate these little balms as they compare to a 50ml bottled fragrance. They are very compact and brilliant for any on-the-go touch ups, whether you’re in the tube or in the air. I’d been sniffing Zazou for the longest part of my flight, as it’s such a soothing and uplifting fragrance (especially after 10 hours in the plane). Say hello to my new handbag staples. Available from Cult Beauty and Le Soft Perfume.
