What I've Been Loving (August 2013)

August was a great month for me. I’ve spend half the month traveling in Asia and half the month relaxing back home. I had a great time when I was traveling in Asia and also managed to pick up some great souvenirs, as I like to call them. I’ll be very sad when September comes as it means that Uni will start and as it’s my final year, the pressure is on. This month’s favourites is a selection of bits that I’ve mostly been using during my holidays when I was out and about and just some general things I’ve been using back home to relax and pamper myself.

If you follow me on Instagram you might know that before I left London, I gifted myself a Kindle. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made and I love this thing. It’s just so convenient when travelling, commuting or when you’re away. I’ve been using this like non-stop and definitely have been reading more as I’ve been carrying this with me all the time. On my lips I’ve been wearing Topshop Lipstick Crystal every single day when I got back from my holidays as it’s just the perfect pink. The other bits are skincare products that I’ve mentioned before in my long-haul flight beauty edit as well and they were just perfect for the occasion. REN Tonic Moisture Mist* was perfect to feed my skin Hyaluronic Acid to keep it hydrated and radiant. Besides in the plane, this is perfect to spritz throughout the day when the AC is on all the time or when you just need a wake up boost. I’m rather new to the SAMPAR, but I’ve been enjoying their Glamour Shot Eyes in particular, which is quite an amazing product. To sum it up, it basically is a skincare version of the under eye concealer. Intriguing right? I’ve been wearing just that and Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25 when I was on holidays, as it was simply too hot and humid to wear foundation or tinted moisturiser even. The SPF has a tint, which is ever so sheer that I doubt it’ll make any one look paler or more tan than they are. As for perfume, for the past few weeks I’ve been rubbing Le Soft Parfum Zazou* all over, all the time. It’s the perfect combination of zesty fruits and jasmine makes it sophisticated and yet refreshing.
