Each time when the postman arrives with a parcel that has my name on it, I do a little celebration dance. I just love receiving post. Whether it’s a silly card or a parcel with things I’ve ordered through online shopping, I’m as excited as a little kid in a candy store. So after rushing down the stairs and yanking the door open, I was greeted by a postman holding several packages for me. The one that had me most excited was one with 4 letters on it: B-E-C-C-A. *heavenly music cue*
Having heard so much good about BECCA, I’m actually relatively new to their products. Yes, I had my first encounter a while back with their magnificent Beach Tint, but their much raved about bases and illuminators were still unknown territory for me.
As I find finding the right base is most important, I’m most excited about their Matte Skin Shine Proof and Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation. Both products are actually polars of each other. One that claims to provide a matte, yet natural, finish throughout the day, whereas the other claims to have a lightweight satin finish. Both are made in Italy and have medium coverage. The colour range of their foundations blew me away, as they seem to have covered quite a lot of skin tones (I’m shade Nude in both products, if you’re interested).
Although I’ve tried Beach Tints before, it doesn’t stop the butterflies in my belly from fluttering around when I see a new colour. Raspberry is a gorgeous eggplant purple in the tube and when swatched it becomes a beautiful berry shade. I can see this becoming my every-day-lipcolour this Autumn/Winter.
I’ve also received a sachet of Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal with the Satin Finish Foundation. I never was too intrigued by it as my skin tends to get shiny very fast. Extra shimmer, resulting in the disco-ball look in broad day light? Non, merci. Will report back on how it works on combo/oily skin.
“Just In” will be a new series of posts I’ll be doing where I’m introducing you to what’s new on my (beauty) desk. Similar to ‘Haul’ posts, though this can be a bunch of products or just one. To keep it realistic for me to post about new things it’ll be a bi-weekly post. Do let me know what you think of these kind of this!
