If you take a look through my archive, you might notice the amount of posts related to lip products. I’m a lipstick junkie. Guilty as charged. With autumn appearing more and more, I just felt like I needed a new lipstick, a new colour. Please don’t start asking me about their correlation, because I wouldn’t know where to start explaining. So taking a swoop in the beauty section, I knew I wanted something from Yves Saint Laurent. They always manage to create classy packaging and their formulas are the bomb. That’s when I decided to settle with a YSL Glossy Stain in #31.
Yes, I know what you’re thinking, this is not an autumn-y colour at all. When I saw all the bright colours, I just had to swatch them all, resulting in me picking up this gorgeous peachy-pink number. It looks more orange-y on the skin, but when applied on the lips it tends to be more pink. It definitely is an all-year-around lip colour for me, as it looks very natural and very healthy – if that makes sense.
If you’re not familiar with Glossy Stains, they are basically a glossy lipstick that stains your lips too (hence the name). They stay on for about 4-6 hours, depending on whether (and what) I eat and drink. They have a very slight scent to them, which I’m not too fussed about as you won’t taste or smell it after you’ve applied it.
Have you ever tried a YSL Glossy Stain and which is your favourite colour?
