Throwing Up Berries

When the weather starts to become very gloomy and cold, I always pull out my boldest plum colours to perk me up. As it’s my senior year, I spend quite a few days testing my lipsticks working from home. Most of the time I just walk around the house, barefaced, with a bold lip. Once my dearest Mum, who’s more a red-lipstick person, chuckled when I wore a vampy-berry lip and said that I looked like I threw up berries. And well… that’s how came up with this post: a selection of my favourite lip products that make it look like you ‘threw up berries’. In a sophisticated way of course…

Berries come in different colours and so do lipsticks. My favourite raspberry shades are Lancôme Rouge in Love in 377N and Make-Up Studio Lipgloss in Pink Desire. When going to the more purple-toned, blackberry shades, MAC Plumful is my absolute favourite and Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 107 is the lippy for dark, vampy cherry look (yes, cherries are berries too). For a less dramatic look, NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Never Say Never (not the Bieber song) is your gal. Make sure to scrub prior-application as it’s a matte finish and can cling to dry patches. If opaque lip products aren’t your thing, I’ve got you covered too. Clinique Super Balm Moisturising Gloss in 09 Currant is a gorgeous sheer black currant gloss for a hint of colour. If you want that innocent ‘I just ate a huckleberry tart, so what’ look, Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Plumjam is your tune. Super moisturising and stains the lips beautifully. Berry lips? Sorted.

What makes you look like you ‘threw up berries’?
