Christmas Gift Guide #2 – Dad

While I love shopping for others, getting my dad the right gift always remains tricky. Mainly because he always seems to have the things I want to get him. After a good peruse in the house and a good brainstorm session with my dearest sister, I’ve got a selection of grooming, books, cooking and tech gifts that all dad’s (hopefully!) will like.

While my dad doesn’t like to admit it, he likes to take care of himself – in a good way. Getting him so far to religiously slap on the moisturiser twice a day has taken me quite a few years to convince him. Having noticed his puffy and tired eyes, my next mission is to force convince him to use eye cream. Less is more for most males, so a rollerball would be the best (I don’t think I can make my dad go as far as using his ring finger to pat it on, ha). Being a professional chef, he knows his fair share of food and loves eating – I think best would say he’s a hedonist regarding all things. Being a chef, my dad has a great selection of cooking utensils, but I managed to find some fun and miscellaneous bits that would fit anyone’s kitchen. As he loves his weekly run sesh, I’ve found some great running/tech equipment that won’t be too heavy to carry around, and some great headphones that are wireless. I love my dad to pieces, but his music taste… not so much. I’ll keep it at that.
