It’s My Party

… and I cry if I want to. But I don’t because today is my b to the irthday! Yep, it’s right people, I’m turning 21, or well, I should say today is the day I woke up as a 21-year-old. Can tell you this now: it feels the same. To shake things up a bit, and because it is my party, today a very edited list of things I really want. And hopefully, I’ll be able to get these over the coming years. What I got for my birthday you ask? I have no clue, as I left the house at 6am already. Yay for traineeships.

Olympus OMD EM10
Call it an investment or whatever you want, but photography has always been my guilty pleasure. I love good photography and as I have been blogging, I’ve been loving still life images so much. I guess I don’t have to explain why a few creams, lotions and potions can increase my heartbeat. The Olympus OMD EM10 is all I can ask for with regards to stunning image quality, portability and design wise. I personally love anything that looks close to those vintage cameras you can spot on Notting Hill, with the added boost of technology, of course. I won’t bore you with all the tech specs, I’ll save that for the time when I actually have it.

SFK Super Deluxe Super Brass Tax
The above mentioned gadget has to come with a cool accessory, am I right? SFK has stolen my heart with the customisable and stylish camera straps they offer. The former Teen Vogue Editor has started creating a very cool range of straps and whereas the jump rope versions are a tad too quirky for me, I’m loving the Super Deluxe Brass chain. Swoon.

Frends Taylor Oil Slick
Suspiciously my entire list is very tech oriented, not even deliberately. As I commute four days a week, four hours a day, music has become a daily necessity. Already sitting in the ‘silence’ part of the train to get my daily zen, I feel like my standard iPhone headset isn’t cutting it anymore. Of course, they’re very light and easy to carry with me, but recently I’ve been secretly looking at this stunner. I’ve tried them on and sound wise it’s all I could ask for and shocker: they’re super lightweight too!

Proenza Schouler PS11 Classic Leather Shoulder Bag

Okay, okay. Maybe I’m stretching it a tiny bit with this one, but it’s the bag I’ve been looking at for years! A very hefty investment, but one I will use for a lifetime, I’m sure. Made with black textured cow leather and silver hardware, it’s one of my most wanted dream bags (I’m a bag lady, so I’ve got a list – what did you expect). It’s big enough to carry my daily jargon and small enough to not look like I’m lugging around a big bunk of crap. Stylish efficiency at its best.

Mansur Gavriel Small Leather Tote
(not pictured)
Is it regarded as greedy if I have two bags on this list? Let’s just say this is a more purse friendly option compared to the one above. I featured their Black Flamma Bucket Bag here, but I realised that I need a tote. Yes, need. Something where I can chuck everything in and leave, that kind of bag. A bag that embodies class and quality, without screaming the brand. Which is all Mansur Gavriel does. Period.
