What I’ve Been Loving (August 2014)

Believe it or not, but I’ve kept my beauty usage to a bare minimum last month. My skin got a bit rough and spotty due too hormones and increased stress, but with these three little tubes it made life a bit more pleasant and soothe my skin.

I’ve written a full review on Rosa Centifolia No. 1 Purity Cleansing Balm quite a while ago (here) and it’s just the perfect first cleanse. I usually use a cleansing oil, but as I ran out of mine, this was my most preferred alternative. It’s based on 100% natural Rose Extract Complex that tones, softens and soothes the skin whilst removing dirt, daily grime and make up. It’s a thick balm that melts into a gorgeous, rich oil and washes off like a milk. I like to use a warm facecloth and put it on my face for a few seconds before I wipe off all the residue.

With my skin acting up and hormonal break outs happening like crazy, Aesop Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser has been an absolute dream. Soothing, calming and purifying all at once. I like to apply it generously allover my face and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before I wash it off. My skin definitely appears to be less red and angry immediately after, which I assume is because of the Chamomile Bud, Lavender Stem and White Clay in the cleanser.

Besides my face being very sensitive to anything, my limbs have been really dry, itchy and patchy for some reason —Hope’s Relief Intensive Dry Skin Rescue literally came to my Eczema’s rescue. It has a vague liquorice scent to it and comes out as a brownish tint, which turns into white as soon as you blend it into the skin. It takes a bit more effort to blend in than your regular moisturiser, but once it’s all blended into the skin, it sinks in immediately and soothes my skin. It’s specially designed for those who suffer from Eczema, Psoriasis and Dermatitis, and I’d definitely recommend you to try it if you suffer from any of the above. Dry and itchy limbs, be gone!
