My ‘Signature’ Look

First things first: I’m the worst with tags (which is the direct reason why I rarely participate in these). Secondly, thanks so much Jade for tagging me. After reading her post, I just felt I had to participate. That, and Jade is just too lovely to say no to, ha. Anyways, as we’re slowly entering autumn/winter (it’s a bit grey here in Leeds – literally and figuratively speaking), I thought I’d just share my ‘signature look’. A look that I slap onto my face every morning when going to uni/work or just when I hop into town to run some errands. Easy, peasy.

My base consists of Clarins Radiance Perfecting Primer in 02 to add some subtle glow to my skin and diffuse the redness and Jouer Matte Moisture Balm in Linen to even out my skin and cover up imperfections and make me look presentable. When I’ve got an angry spot, I always dab on some RMS Un-Cover Up in 02 and dust my face with ByTerry Hyaluronic Powder using the Real Techniques Powder Brush.

To brighten up my face and make me look like a living being, I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush (it’s the best) to apply my powder blush. Lately I’ve been reaching for the NARS Blushes on a daily basis – Mata Hari when I want that rosy glow and Torrid for a natural, peachy flush.

Being in the stage of growing my brows back, they’re a mess without any help, so filling them in has been key. Hourglass Brow Arch in Dark Brunette when I’m in a rush or Soap & Glory Brow Archer in Medium when I’ve got more time on my hands. I finish off with a quick coat of Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium to keep all the hairs in its place. And last, but definitely not least: the lips. When I’m heading to Uni, I generally go for something that will fade gradually, so I won’t end up with weird looking lips throughout the day. ILIA Tinted Lip Conditioner in Nobody’s Baby for the much desired my-lips-but-better look. My signature look? Sorted.
