Bring On 2015

2014 was a year packed with great beauty launches and some products were so innovative, I can’t even say how impressed I am. The beauty junkie that I am, I’ve gotten word of some cool new launches in the next year, which makes me even more excited. Bring on, 2015. I’m ready for ‘ya.

I first spotted the YSL Volupté Tint-in-Oil on Sephora and was hooked already. I love YSL lip products, I die for nourishing lip care and I adore my lip stains, so this like a product made for me. Packaging-wise YSL never disappoints and the applicator looks very similar (if not identical) to the Volupté glosses, which have been raved about non-stop this year. These will launch in end of January, available at all counters.

NARS never seem to fail to impress me with any of their products. Seeing how much I’m relying on their All Day Luminous Powder Foundation, I can’t wait for their liquid version, All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, to launch Spring 2015. Word is out that it’s a hybrid between GA Maestro and MUFE HD, but with better coverage and a natural finish. Must. Have.

Ever since I’ve returned home, I think I’ve gained some weight, resulting in a rather puffy face (or maybe it’s just because I’ve got a cold right now). As weight loss isn’t my forté and dieting is just not my thang, I’ve been seeking some help in the contouring department. BECCA is launching a Contour Powder Duo which has a lighter shade to highlight and a darker shade to contour. I love little kits like this so I’m chuffed to bits with this launch. Another launch that’s got me super excited is the Victoria Victoria Beckham x Nails Inc. collab. Although I’m not a Nails Inc. fan, I truly adore anything Vicky B. does. The nail polish range consists out of two colours: a bright red and a pinky-nude – the essential colours every girl needs in her kit. If that hasn’t convinced you just yet, look at the packaging. It’s a gem. The range is available nationwide from February 2015 and via FeelUnique, Selfridges and Sephora (US) as we speak.

Taking about gems, concealer is a must-have in my make up stash, and I’m sure I’m not the only one appreciating it. Be it under-eye, tattoo, birthmark or spot concealing, with MAC’s Studio Conceal & Correct Collection, everything is covered (excuse the pun). I’ve got my eyes on the Studio Finish Concealer Duo, which has a yellow and pinky based concealer, “giving exceptional colour and coverage in customisable hues” that is super lightweight on the skin and lasts 8 hours. I’m hoping to get my paws on the MAC Studio Finish Conceal and Correct Duo as well, which is basically a solid version of the above mentioned Duo. The Studio Chromagraphic Pencils aren’t completely new additions, as they were limited edition a few years back and flew off the shelves in a blink of an eye. I wasn’t able to pick it up in NC15/NW20, which I’ll definitely will be doing now it’s in their permanent range. Those living across the pond are lucky as the collection has launched on Boxing Day, but the rest of the world will have to wait till February 2015.
