Christmas Gift Guide – £40 and over

We all love a bit of a pamper and in the name of Christmas, I say: let’s splurge. Whether it’s something you’ve been eyeing to buy to treat yourself or want to gift it to someone else, I’ve tried to put together a small list with gifts that are great when your budget is a bit higher.

First off, I’d say get your palms on the NARS Virtual Domination palette whilst you still can. Not only will you never be able to go wrong with any NARS palette, but it’s got a highlighter, bronzer and three blush shades —of which two are limited edition! Also: have you seen the case it comes in? Done deal. For another ultimate treat would be the Eve Lom Daily Collection. I’ve personally never tried anything from the brand yet, aside from Kiss Mix, but it contains 5 of their best sellers in a handy travel size. Despite their Balm Cleanser being a product that you either hate or love (and aside from the fact that it contains mineral oil) I do know that many of my relatives swear by it as well as many beauty editors, so there must be something real good about it.

Aromatherapy Associates has grown to be one of my fave body care brands as of lately, and they just have yet to disappoint me. Their Relaxing Bath Box contains a full size Relaxing Body Wash (it’s lush) and 3 of their mini Bath and Shower Oils to de-stress and relax. A perfect pamper box. Jurlique Rose Body Oil is another absolute treat and a Christmas limited edition. It contains a blend of Rosemary, Jojoba and Macadamia oil and is super nourishing, sinks into the skin real easily and leaves a subtle aroma of roses on the skin.

If you’re looking for something completely non-beauty related, Wool and The Gang Embroidery Hat is has a great DIY beanie set. It contains an already knitted hat, needles, yarn and a mini instruction manual to get you going. The quality of the wool is very soft and thick so it’ll keep your ears warm whilst looking fab. Err… the best gift for the creatives among us?

It wouldn’t be fair to say I saved the best for last, but it’d be a lie if I said it wasn’t. FOREO Luna is my ultimate beauty tool and I couldn’t recommend this enough (I think I may have enabled my housemate… and his mum). It’s so much better (and more hygienic) than the conventional nylon bristles. It gives about 8,000 pulses a minute and stimulates the skin through light tapping motions and it’s very gentle. The best way to describe it in a sentence is that it’s makes your skin feel and look like you just had a facial. Not the cheapest, but sometimes good things come with a high price tag. Need I say more?
