Life As We Know It

Good lord… It’s weird being back here, but hey, it’s Boxing Day and I’ve got nothing better to do than binging Netflix Originals Series (nothing wrong with that b.t.w) so I figured I’d pick up the keyboard and start typing. Nothing better than a brain dump from the heart, aye?

2018 has been a whirlwind of a year. I know everyone always says this at the end of each year, but for me it really has been. It was the year of establishing new friendships and losing older ones. It was the year of me finally banking a boyfriend, changing jobs and finally caving in to buy my beloved J.W. Anderson Pierce Bag. I probably travelled at least once a month to a different country and have visited so many new places and made so many amazing memories that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

The year also came with a lot of stress, a burnout that I tried to hide for the better part of the year and me finally realising that life’s too short to stick with something that’s genuinely making you feel miserable or that makes you feel any less of yourself. YOLO and all that.

Not trying to have a DMC here, but I’m in a much better place now. I picked up reading recently and since I’ve finally achieved a work / life balance, I genuinely feel I can pick up writing again and start investing time in my blog. And there’s no better time than now.

For those who have stuck around for all this while —thank you. Thank you for not forgetting me and still being here. For those who are new to my blog, welcome and hang tight. There’s lots coming your way.
